WE SERVE THE VISUALLY AND HEARING IMPAIRED

Where Lions Meet be Present Lord,To weld our hearts in one accord, To do thy will Lord make us strong, To aid the weak and right the wrong.

Lions is the world's largest service organization. Over 1.4 million members, just like you, who come from all walks of life and who, together last year raised over $145 million to fight preventable blindness. Lions became international in 1920 with the formation of the Windsor, Ontario Canada Club. There are currently 43,000 Lions clubs in 185 countries. The combined membership of Lions is able to accomplish so much more than can be accomplished individually or by small groups! Melvin Jones was Founder of the Association of Lions Clubs in 1917. In 1925, Helen Keller challenged Lions to become "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness." Lions accomplish this through the Sightfirst Program.
